About Carpona

Carpona was founded by Karl Börjesson in 2021, based on his cutting edge research performed at the University of Gothenburg, to bring the properties of so called COF materials to a whole new level.

The company has received an investment from GU Ventures and has also joined GU Venture’s incubator.

Karl Börjesson is a Professor at University of Gothenburg, at the Institution for Chemistry and Molecular Biology. Karl is leading a large group focused on constructing molecules or molecular based systems that are able to perform highly specialized functions. In 2022 he won the “Göran Gustafsson” prize in chemistry, the most prestigious national prize in natural science in Sweden.
